The employment prospects for people with accelerated nursing degrees are good. Clinics, private medical practices, nursing homes, and other institutions employ nurses. In addition, people with accelerated nursing degrees can go on to gain additional education and move on to careers as nurse practitioners, nurse anesthetists, and legal nurse consultants.

Affording accelerated nursing degrees
The cost of education is often a deterrent to enrolling in a degree program, but because of the nursing shortage, there are many options to help students afford their accelerated nursing degrees. Federal and private educational loans are one source of funding. Another way to fund your education is to work with a hospital or medical institution. Some of these places will pay your tuition up front or offer to pay off your school loans in exchange for your promise to work as a nurse for a specified number of years. This allows students to obtain accelerated nursing degrees without spending their life savings and it allows the hospitals to hire qualified graduates once they have completed their accelerated nursing degrees. Everyone involved benefits from this arrangement, including the nursing students, medical institutions, and community members who need medical care from compassionate and experienced nurses.
